As Giving Tuesday – a day that encourages people to do good – approaches on Nov. 28, we are looking at some of the people who do good for Houston all year round, like Helping a Hero.
This nonprofit was founded in 2006 to provide support for military personnel who were severely injured while at war. Its primary goal is to provide specifically adapted homes for service members, giving them and their families a place to come home to after fighting for their country.
Though this nonprofit was founded in Houston, they have now built more than 100 homes across 24 states.
