As children, the Fourth of July always seemed to be the halfway mark of summer. As an adult, it seems like summer has been going on a long time already. When does school start? But then again let’s all slow things down and take advantage of no carpool, after-school dashes to activities and nightly questions of “did you do your homework?”
Better yet, here is to more mornings to sleep in, late-night pool parties, all-day Netflix binge-watching and trips to the movies where we can escape the heat. It’s time for ice cream and frozen cocktails.
