Dallas-based Mickey Ashmore has earned a celebrity following for his stylish and amazingly comfortable retooling of the traditional Turkish slipper, creating modern, espadrille-like silhouettes in a rainbow of colors. Each pair is handmade in a 150-year-old workshop using naturally tanned water buffalo leather.
