Our pets are living their best lives lately – constant couch snuggles, pets, walks, you name it. They have become increasingly used to our constant presence and the adjustment back to work will be tricky. However, there are ways to start helping your pet now to avoid anxiety later.
Start small – leave the room and have them “stay” for 5-10 minutes. Leave the house more often with grocery trips, outdoor walks or short drives to acclimate them. Finally, when the day to return to the office comes, treat them to a walk or extra quality time before leaving for the day.
