Decadent truffles were put on display at the fourth annual Truffle Masters 2018 event, where hundreds of guests witnessed 22 of Houston’s top culinary professionals battle for the coveted Truffle Masters title.
In the end, Riel’s potato, leek and truffle pierogi took home the People’s Choice award. A’Bouzy’s roasted Indian Creek mushrooms with truffled foie gras stems placed third, while Yauatch’s dessert made of Guayaquil chocolate, caramelized truffled honey panna cotta and zephyr caramel crémeux was awarded the second place prize.
Hubbell & Hudson clenched first place — and a kilogram of fresh black truffles — with its decadent French fromage sandwich.
