Summer in Houston: Don’t Cringe, Just Binge

Summer is in full swing, and it is crushing souls faster than the White Walkers on “Game of Thrones.” Aside from that little show coming back, here are some more buzzy summer premieres:

”Snowfall” (July 5, FX): John Singleton’s new FX drama looks at the start of the crack epidemic and is set in Los Angeles in 1983.

”Friends from College” (July 14, Netflix): Friends from Harvard deal with their 40s in this original series featuring a great comedic cast.

Marvel’s “The Defenders” (Aug. 18, Netflix): The new eight-episode miniseries unites Jessica Jones, Daredevil, Luke Cage and Iron Fist.
