Goode Co.: A true Texas classic, Goode Co.’s Brazos bottom pecan pie is a must during the holidays. The staple dessert has been on the menu since the restaurant opened in 1977. Each pie is handmade with fresh eggs and all-natural Texas pecans.

Treebeards: On the heels of its 40th anniversary, Treebeards has long been a go-to for its down-home pies and cakes. The most notable menu item is the classic carrot cake, which has been served since 1981. The from-scratch recipe was one of the restaurant’s first desserts and its first-ever iced cake.
