In the health-care industry, only 30% of C-suites are women and a mere 13% of companies have female CEOs. To encourage future female leaders and close this gender gap, Ayse McCracken formed Ignite, a Houston-based network of over 130 female health-care executives, in 2016.

Following the success of its annual “Shark Tank”-style competitions, Ignite is launching a mini-accelerator program. The 13 female-led companies chosen from around the globe will participate in the 10-week program and be paired with notable health-care organizations to receive further mentoring and feedback on strengths and weaknesses.
