New Delhi Airbnb leads to new friend

For three years, I’ve written the same words on Airbnb’s reservation field that says “tell your host why you’re in town.”

Thinking one day it might help, I’ve always written: “visiting PR firms.” After requesting a cool penthouse apartment in New Delhi, India, the host immediately replied his sister-in-law owned a successful firm and he’d introduce us. He did – and spent an evening in his apartment studying my contacts, helping organize my meetings, my pitches – even my business plan.
