In a city not known for protecting older structures, one home on the market is checking off all the boxes for history buffs. The residence known as the Whitaker-Graliano-Brown home located in the Brooke Smith neighborhood has been given a Protected Historic Landmark Designation by the City of Houston.
Built in 1918 in the bungalow style, it features neo-classical elements and a rare opportunity to own a fully restored, renovated home that gleams with updates. The last owner, Michael K. Brown, was the curator of the Bayou Bend Collections and Gardens at MFAH from 1987 to 2013.
