In case you missed the memo, on Monday, August 21, a total solar eclipse is happening over the U.S. for the first time since 1979.
For those of you who aren’t astronomically inclined, let us translate: the moon will pass through the sun’s path and shade parts of the Earth this Monday, from approximately 11:45am to 2:45pm.
While Houston isn’t part of the path of totality – we will only see a partial eclipse – we recommend heading to the Houston Museum of Natural Science or the Astronomy Society at the University of Houston for an educational viewing experience.
