Houston’s most unique car parade returns

by The 100 Companies

Created by the Orange Show Center for Visionary Art, the 38th Annual Houston Art Car Parade & Festival returns to the streets this April. What started back in 1984 with a local artist and the donation of one 1967 Ford station wagon has turned into one of the most unique car shows in the country, as participants gather together to turn older and used vehicles of all kinds into works of mobile art.

Now the largest free public art event in Houston, the parade begins at 2 p.m. on April 12, rolling down the Allen Parkway and throughout Downtown Houston.
