The city’s signature event, Shell Freedom Over Texas, returns to Eleanor Tinsley Park with live performances, local eats, family fun zones and a spectacular fireworks finale over Buffalo Bayou.
This is Houston’s official Fourth of July celebration and it’s the crown jewel of the city’s festivities. Set against the downtown skyline at Eleanor Tinsley Park, Shell Freedom Over Texas features live national and local performers, food and drink, family zones and one of the biggest fireworks shows in the state.
Good to Know: Arrive early and wear comfy shoes, sunscreen and hat – this one draws a crowd!

Rain or shine, the show goes on – so head to Hermann Park and enjoy a night of music, fireworks and celebration under the stars.
Sugar Land’s Red, White, and Boom
The annual event is back at Sugar L and’s Constellation Field on July 4! Constellation Field will be open throughout the evening, including the concession stands, the playgrounds, the Splash Pad, Moon Shot Alley and more. Bud Light will also be sponsoring live music for this festive event. Come enjoy the music, delicious food and the evening’s finale fireworks show!
