Executive Chef Chris Williams of Lucille’s in Houston’s Museum District was recently named the lone U.S. culinary cultural ambassador for a 10-day tour of The Balkans. Partnering with the U.S. Embassy in Slovenia and Slovakia, he departs on May 25 to begin the tour where he will lead food lectures, hospitality conferences, cooking demos and workshops.
Classically trained in Southern, French, Mediterranean, West Indian and East African gourmet cuisines, Williams will teach and mentor disabled and troubled teens on one of his stops in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
Lucille’s, named after Chef Williams’ great-grandmother, specializes in Southern cuisine.
