Axelrad to the Rescue

When Adam Brackman isn’t serving patrons at his Alabama Street beer garden Axelrad, he’s flexing his skills as an impromptu first responder.

Hurricane Harvery produced many stories of ordinary citizens-turned-heroes, and Brackman leads the standout pack, landing features on both local and national outlets for his courageous rescue missions. The local bar owner not only rescued dozens of stranded Houstonians by boat and car but also managed to save a number of elderly citizens on foot.

So let’s hear it for Adam Brackman! Now there’s always an excuse to grab a drink (or two, or three) at Axelrad.
