We know about the Boomers, the Gen Xers, and the much-derided Millennials (give me a break, already). It’s time to learn about Generation Z.
Gen Zers (roughly defined as those born after 1996) are entering adulthood and becoming a segment professional marketers and business leaders must understand. Without trying to generalize too much, a recent study of the age group had some notable findings about Gen Z:
• More racially and ethnically diverse than previous generations.
• On track to be the best-educated generation.
• Shares similar viewpoints on many major issues to Millennials, and sees family and societal change as a good thing.
