All heroes don’t wear capes. No one proved this more than furniture magnate Jim McIngvale, better known as Mattress Mack. The Gallery Furniture proprietor stepped up in a big way during Hurricane Harvey, opening the doors of his popular furniture outpost as shelters for hundreds of evacuees displaced by Harvey.
In response to McIngvale’s generous efforts, a Change.org petition has launched to declare August 26 Mattress Mack Day in Houston. We can’t think of a better way to honor a local icon and hero. Add your signature here to help the petition reach its goal of 300,000 signatures.
