The entire education system has been uprooted because of COVID-19, and for the millions of college seniors, myself included, the sudden transition has been grueling:
• As we convert to online learning, those students particularly impacted are the ones living in different time zones or who are among the 21 million Americans who don’t have access to high-speed internet.
• Along with the massive financial losses of universities themselves, thousands of students also lost much-needed jobs as they were quickly forced to leave campus.
• Finally, the most emotional blow has been the cancellation of university events, including spring commencement (insert disappointed sigh).
