Act II — the Show Must Go On

art building in Houston

The arts scene in Houston may be down after Hurricane Harvey, but it’s definitely not out. Here’s what’s next for some of Houston’s most prestigious performance and art venues:

Wortham Center: Expect the curtains to rise again in May 2018. Until then, the Houston Ballet and Opera have been relocated to various performance sites.

Alley Theatre: Future performances are being executed on the UH campus. We’re crossing our fingers for a November re-opening.

Houston Cinema Arts Festival: Though its primary screening venue was flooded during Hurricane Harvey, the HCAF will continue as planned this November at a new space.
