Millennial word of the month: petty. Defined by Urban Dictionary as, “making things, events, or actions normal people dismiss as trivial or insignificant into excuses to be upset, uncooperative, childish or stubborn.” A character trait many millennials possess, and can easily spot in actions of others.

Petty is putting your empty popsicle box on the counter so your roommate, who ate the popsicles, can see. Petty is not announcing you’re getting lunch so no one else orders through you. Petty is Taylor Swift. Petty is replying to a long message with a single syllable.
