Ramen is one of the hottest foods in the nation right now – and Houstonians have officially drunk the Kool-Aid.
Countless eateries have inundated Houston to satiate the city’s cravings for piping bowls of noodles. Chef Hisashi Urehara, executive chef and owner of AGU, a ramen bistro, was inspired by the city’s ethnic and cultural diversity and culinary renaissance – and made the leap from Hawaii to open his first mainland locations.
Chef Urehara offers Houstonians traditional Japanese cuisine as well as dishes inspired by Space City, like “The Houston Oiler” named for the black kotteri broth and garlic.
