Texas students presented computer science projects to state legislature members last week at Code @ the Capitol, presented by Computer Science for Texas (CS4TX).
This event raised awareness for Texas lawmakers to invest in statewide computer science education and the CS4TX rider.
While computing is essential to nearly every industry, Texas schools are performing below national averages for computer science education and is one of the few states not investing in it.
Support for the CS4TX rider will fund a teacher development network across Texas to enhance opportunities for our students to shine in the computer sciences.
