Parks and Remediation

Hurricane Harvey was no walk in the park. As we begin to heal and rebuild, it’s important to quite literally stop and smell the roses.

Perhaps the best place to start is by visiting some of Houston’s parks. McGovern Centennial Gardens is a great place to zone out while exploring its gorgeous gardens. Evelyn’s Park offers a picturesque, natural playscape for kids to burn off energy while “big kids” can burn off stress with a glass of wine from The Ivy & James.

Discovery Green’s regularly scheduled programming has resumed, including an upcoming free screening of “Hidden Figures” on September 22.
