With the untimely passing of two young sons and a brother in short succession due to failed health, Treveia McCurdy thought she had lost everything. But the compassion of friends, community and strangers gave her new hope and a mission: spreading love through random acts of kindness.
Formed in 2014, the Random Act of Kindness Day non-profit annually honors 10 individuals who have selflessly given of themselves. It also fulfills non-profit wish lists by matchmaking organizations with businesses happy to lend a hand. To get involved or nominate someone for the Houston Humanitarian Awards in July, visit here.
