Lights, ice skating, action. This Houston holiday season offers festivities for all. In the Museum District, families can find twinkling lights and hot chocolate at the Houston Zoo, through Jan. 13.

Texas weather won’t affect the ice at Discovery Green in downtown Houston. Glide beneath glittering lights and embrace holiday cheer. Ticket sales support the Discovery Green Conservancy. Through Dec. 23 (select dates), River Oaks District will keep spirits bright with complimentary horse-drawn carriage rides. Tips benefit the Children’s Assessment Center.
