Mark your calendars, the 9th annual Houston Cinema Arts Festival kicks off today, launching with two opening night films: “Love, Cecil” — the story of iconic British photographer and costume designer Cecil Beaton and “Bodied,” a film exploring the high stakes world of contemporary battle rap.
Also on the docket for the five-day cinema fest are the world premieres of two films centered around Houston artists — “Jesse Lott: Artist in Action” and “Ash: The Art of Wayne Gilbert” — set to appear in tandem on Sunday, November 12.
