Good intentions are damaging the recycling industry

by Sally@the100companies.com

Americans have answered the call to recycle more, but their good intentions are causing major issues in the recycling stream. Here are a few tips to help get your home and office recycling right:

• Never bag your recyclables, it may cause a whole load to be trashed.

• Recycle clean plastic beverage bottles and jugs.

• Keep your recycling clean and dry by closing the lid on your dumpster and tossing the greasy pizza box.

If you need help starting a program, Waste Management offers a variety of posters, videos and training tools to help refresh your recycling program at RecycleOftenRecycleRight.com.
