A piece of Houston history has gone on the market for the first time since 1931. The Simon & Mamie Minchen House, which bears multiple landmark designations, was designed by one of Houston’s most iconic architects, Joseph Finger. A rare example of Italian Renaissance architecture, this 4,850-square-foot home is located on North Boulevard.
It looks much like it did in 1931 – with original furnishings placed exactly as Mrs. Minchen directed. Her son Meyer Minchen lived in the home until his recent death.
The property, in its original condition, is waiting for an owner to restore its elegant interior.
