San Miguel de Allende is my favorite place. The colonial-era city in central Mexico is known for its baroque Spanish architecture, thriving arts scene and cultural festivals.
Every summer for 10 years, my family spent a month there. The kids went to camp at Josefina’s while we explored homes behind the unassuming doors. They are grown, but we still travel there for weddings at Casa Carino or parties at Casa Cece, where we spent all those lovely summers.
