Housing is healthcare: the Coalition tackles homelessness in Houston

by The 100 Companies

How can people experiencing homelessness “stay home, stay safe” when they have no home?

When federal resources were directed to our region to respond to COVID-19, the Coalition for the Homeless of Houston/Harris County recognized the opportunity to make once-in-a-generation investments into permanent housing and other programs for people experiencing homelessness.

Instead of spending funds on short-term fixes like hotel stays, the Coalition spearheaded the Community COVID Housing Program (CCHP), an effort to permanently house the most vulnerable among us. This program is already improving lives in our community and establishing paths to success and stabilization. Support the Coalition today.
