No holiday season in Houston is complete without a festive tamale spread. Picos continues its culinary tradition with another iteration of its annual tamale stand.

This year, customers can expect six new sweet and savory flavors of the restaurant’s gourmet tamales, including the tamales norteños: wild mushroom and huitlacoche (a mix of cremini, oyster and white mushrooms sauteed with huitlacoche, rolled in white corn masa); two different pork belly chicharrones; strawberry (fresh chopped strawberries tossed in white corn masa); and two different dulce de leche tamales (white corn masa rolled with dulce de leche, condensed milk and cajeta).
