Year of the Dog

Chinese New Year officially kicks off on Feb. 16 with the Spring Festival and concludes with the Lantern Festival on March 2.

The Year of the Dog starts with a bang – and a bark – around the city with numerous opportunities to enjoy activities inspired by Lunar New Year traditions throughout the month. The Asia Society, Chinese Community Center and Texas Lunar Festival are just a few of the organizations showcasing food, entertainment, arts and crafts.

Stop by Le Colonial restaurant on Feb. 16 beginning at 6 p.m. for an evening of lion and dragon dancers, plus special menu offerings.
