Houston Azalea Trail

Given that we now have real seasons – or at least a winter with snow – who knows how the azalea, the sort of unofficial plant of Houston, will fare this spring. When they’re good, they’re downright dazzling, making a seasonal show in neighborhoods like River Oaks even more impressive than millions – and seemingly millions of dollars – of Christmas lights.

No matter what the weather or their condition, however, we can count on the annual Azalea Trail to mark their return. Now in its 83rd year, the showcase of some of our most beautiful homes and gardens runs March 2-4.
